Tooth gems ₊˚ʚ♡ɞ˚₊

My tooth gem treatments use a safe dental bond and a light curing process, which is semi-permanent and non-abrasive, so there is no drilling or permanent damage. Gems can last anywhere from a couple of months to a year or longer depending on aftercare and lifestyle.

You must be 18+ to get a tooth gem or under 18 with parental consent.

I only stock dental-grade/lead-free products and 100% certified Swarovski crystals.

Please check the FAQs below and email hello@maggiecross.co.uk with further questions or for custom services.

If you can’t find a date and time to suit then pop me an email and I’ll see what I can do (-: hello@maggiecross.co.uk

Tooth Gem FAQs

Does getting a tooth gem hurt?

Tooth gems are bonded on top of the tooth so there is no pain! The procedure is so quick and easy and only takes 5-10 minutes.

Are tooth gems safe?

Tooth gems are bonded in the same way as braces, and the process is completely reversible. Jewellery used is non toxic and lead free, or made of dental gold which is safe to use in the mouth.

Can I wear Invisalign or retainers with tooth gems?

Unfortunately you will not be able to wear tooth gems with Invisalign. However if you have metal retainers please bring them with you to your appointment and we can fit the jewellery after your retainer.

Can I get tooth gems if I have veneers?

Unfortunately tooth gems do not stick onto veneers as it needs a porous surface to bond onto. (Composite bonding can be hit or miss but I advise against it).

Can I remove tooth gems?

I only recommend to go to a dentist who can easily buff off tooth gems or remaining glue. If you do decide to remove them at home then this can be done with traditional tweezers, cuticle cutters, dental floss or a dental probe and there are lots of videos on TikTok etc demonstrating the various methods.

How long do tooth gems last?

Tooth gems are semi permanent and you can expect them to last months to years depending on different factors such as diet, aftercare and mouth acidity.

How do I get tooth gems to last longer?

To make tooth gems last long and look the best you need to take good care of them. Practice good oral hygiene to avoid staining and cavities. Cutting out fizzy drinks also seems to prolong the life of a tooth gem. Drink all sugary, fizzy or acidic drinks with a straw!

My tooth gem fell off just a few days after application! What do I do?

These things can happen! I offer a one month guarantee for crystals and two months guarantee for gold, so if your tooth gem comes off during this time please come back and I’ll reapply for you. For gold you will need to bring back the piece if it came off - if you lost the gold piece you will be charged for the jewellery only.
