  • The tongue will develop a white/yellow coating on top and it will have a furry like appearance. This is a normal bacterial response to the tongue being pierced and can also be a bruising effect. Gently brush the tongue help remove the furry effect. Also, like other piercings crust can form and this can happen in the mouth, but it won’t be solid - it will be a gooey white colour. It won’t form to a solid mass in the mouth. This can be cleaned off with a cotton bud and isn’t puss.
